We’re pretty darn quick around these parts. Our goal is to turn around updates to our client’s websites within 24–48 hours. If you’re on one of our care plans, you get priority support—we update sites that are on our care plan before updating hourly customers.

Yes, all of our packages include both web hosting and website maintenance. It’s our preferred arrangement, since when we host your site on our servers, we know it’s a safe environment that’s optimized for your website. We always set up all the accounts in your name, because you own your site, not us (and you’re free to take it over, anytime).

Nope! There are no setup costs for any of our monthly care plans, and should you ever need to leave the plan, there are no cancellation fees. It’s a month-to-month arrangement, you’re not locked in to any plan for any time period. You can change your plan (upgrade or downgrade) at any time.

Should you decide to cancel, the door is always open for you to restart a care plan, with no additional fees. The only exception is if your site is hacked while you are off a care plan—in that case we will clean up your site and begin to restore your Google rankings for a one-time fee of $250.

If you decide to decline our maintenance plan, sadly there’s a lot that can go wrong. Here are the top reasons we recommend your website is not just designed and launched, but actively maintained:

• Over time, websites lose their optimization, which leads to poor performance, slow load times, and a gradual loss of Google SEO rankings.
• WordPress itself, along with the site’s tools, plugins, theme, quickly go out of date. Out-of-date code is the #1 cause of website hacks. It’s incredibly important to keep all your website tools and plugins up-to-date.
• Without regular backups, you could lose everything overnight. All your content, pages, and even your Google ranking can disappear if your site is hacked or breached. It’s not just large corporations that get hacked; hackers and bots continuously scour the web for insecure sites to take advantage of.
• You won’t get a monthly report with your site traffic, page views, etc.
• Most importantly, you won’t have us as a trusted webmaster to assist you with quick updates, tweaks, and website issues. If you don’t know your way around WordPress, keeping your site fresh and up-to-date can be difficult. If something goes wrong, you’d have to call your hosting company for assistance.

Of course, if you decline our maintenance plan, you can always come back later to start one, with no additional fees.

Negative on this one, ghost rider. The retainer of 30 minutes of updates per month renews each month and does not accrue.

First of all, prevention is the best cure. You’ve heard the horror stories, but rest assured that—to date—none of the sites on our care plans have been hacked or breached. We have excellent systems in place to provide your website with top-of-the-line protection.

However, if your site should get compromised while you’re on the plan, we’ll take care of cleaning the site and getting everything squared away with Google, at no extra cost to you.

If you’re on our Foundations plan, we’ll do our best to get your updates done within the 30 minutes allocated per month. However, if you need more updates in any one month, we will give you an estimate of time it will take to finish the job, and then charge you our hourly rate ($150/hour) to complete your requested updates.

Clients on the Unlimited and Forever plans, of course, have unlimited 30-minute tasks included in their plan.

We can take care of getting your site cleaned and relaunched for $250, and then we will immediately sign you up for a monthly plan and put all our preventative security measures in place, to make sure it remains clean and protected from hacks.
